I Am a Masterpiece

A 4-Session Art Therapy Program for Confidence Building & Self-Esteem

This 4-week group art therapy program is designed to help children ages 8-12 build confidence, embrace imperfections, and develop a strong sense of belonging. Through painting and creative exercises, participants will explore themes of self-expression, resilience, self-love, and the beauty of individuality.

The program emphasizes:

  • It's OK to be a 'hot mess,' make mistakes, and not be perfect.
  • Even in those moments, we have the right to have a voice, be seen, and be loved and accepted-especially by ourselves.
  • Belonging: Even with differences, every child is a valuable part of something greater.

Each 90-minute session includes a warm-up, painting activity, guided discussion, and a take-home craft. The program concludes with a mini art show for parents.

Session 1: Painting My Superpowers
Goal: Recognizing and celebrating inner strengths.
Session 2: Turning Mistakes into Masterpieces
Goal: Embracing imperfection and developing resilience.
Session 3: Self-Love Through Color
